After using Cyanogenmod 7.03 (stable) custom rom, I've noticed that battery life isn't so gorgeous. Decided to tweak battery duration as high as possible. R&D process started from XDA dev forums. After few hours research, founded two tips:
1. Calibrate battery via Battery Calibration app (removes batterystats.bin and creates new one), highly recommended to proceed after installing custom rom
2. Install custom kernel, which allows to optimized governor (aims to provide ample performance for responsiveness while keeping power consumption in check)
I installed following custom kernel: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1180071
Battery calibration app can be found from here: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.nema.batterycalibration
Protip! Custom kernel (.zip) must install as custom rom. Full wipe is recommended but not obligatory. If custom kernel doesn't work properly, re-install with full wipe.
REMEMBER BACKUPS VIA NANDROID!
New dev posts in near future.
